This is a must try!! Go on a date or celebrate something special here... I highly recommend this place. It is very small in nature and you need to make a reservation and pay 10 to reserve a seat per person. The drinks are worth the price and are delicious. Everything I ate was also amazing. I had the Korean Style Adobo Ribs. Once I had a taste, I went from a lady to a t-Rex, I didn’t care that I was in public - it was just that good. We also tried the potato chips and the birria dumplings. Everything was made o perfection and the staff was so friendly. I would go here again.

Top 10 of all restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I’ve lived in six different countries. The food here is so creative and needless to say but really good. It was the first restaurant we went to during a week vacation in the Phoenix area and it ended up being the best restaurant we ate at. Including restaurants that were much more expensive.

Espiritu delivers on flavors in basically all of their dishes - acheiving a nice balance of acid, sweet & smoke. Their description on google maps says theyre seafood focussed but Id say thats a misnomer - they carry a catch of the day, make ceviche, a whole snapper and oysters but the balance of menu items is standard. Id be a little dissatisfied if I was vegetarian. The atmosphere is swanky casual. The service is great and very accomodating, everyone is friendly, attentive and knows the menu well.

Espiritu Mesa is an absolute gem! The handcrafted cocktails are absolutely delicious—I had the Fire Anejo, and it was perfection. For food, our table shared the deep-fried red snapper with all the fixings. It was incredibly tasty, with perfectly crispy skin and moist, flavorful meat. The presentation was stunning, and every bite was a delight. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic date night here for my husband’s 30th birthday! The food and cocktails were outstanding and the service was lovely too. In particular, the man who took our name for the reservation and seated us was incredibly kind and wonderful and deserves recognition. It was a memorable experience!

We couldn’t have had a better experience...food was unique and delicious as were the drinks. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu...great find for us

Perfect date! Recommend making reservations!! Everything was so delicious we topped off our elote with the queso. Skirt Steak was amazing with the flour tortilla & sonran beans. Had a couple of drinks, Mexican Vesper is a boozy drinky, drink & Los Caidos is a mezcal fruity drinks. We challenged our bartender to make custom drinks which was a bonus treat! Atmosphere is amazing & the music, they played Cuco back to back.

Espiritu Mesa delivers bold flavors and generous portions. The guacamole with tostadas and salsa macha was massive—perfect for sharing. The birria dumplings were interesting, but not my favorite. The real standout was the fried whole snapper—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and balanced perfectly with jicama slaw and salsa verde. We sat on the patio, which felt like a stark contrast to what Downtown Mesa was like when I was younger. It’s great to see how much the area has evolved. Espiritu Mesa is definitely a spot worth checking out.
